The taxi in the Philippines is like any regular taxi service in other countries. You can hail it down to bring you specifically to your destination. It is important to note however that taxis in the Philippines may turn you down depending on the location of your destination
HOW TO RIDE A TAXI
STEP 1
Rain check
Tell the driver your destination before boarding. Some drivers may refuse you depending on your destination. (Unless you’re using Uber or Grab)
STEP 2
Distance matters
The meter on the dashboard will tell you your fare. Make sure to get your receipt!

Safety precautions
Take note of the license plate on the inside of the door. Text it to someone if you feel you need to.
STEP 3

Guide the driver to your destination when needed and pay once you’ve arrived.
TIP 2
Something’s not right
If you smell any weird scents, experience dizzyness or see any weird movements, either text someone or ask to be dropped off immediately. Take note of their license plate.
